Bachelor of Science in Property Management
The Cooperative Education (internship) program at UW-Stout is very strong and there are approximately 850-925 students who participate in this experience each year. There are many employers who partner each year with UW-Stout to find talented students who need a co-op experience in their field of study. These are paid positions (employer determine the rate of pay) in which the student is given real-world experiences within their field. Students are expected to complete at least 320 hours of experience. The students set learning goals, write written reports, and are graded on their performance by a faculty mentor. The employer provides the experience and fills out an evaluation of the student 2 times per semester. Co-ops are offered each semester of the year with the academic calendar: January - May, May - August, and September - December. Some employers prefer the 2 term co-op in which students would work for the company for 6-7 months (for two semesters) for their co-op.

The first step to recruit a student for a Co-op position is to fill out this online position description form which is then approved by the faculty mentor from that degree: http://www.uwstoutcareers.com/form_coop_position.php Once complete, we will forward it onto faculty for approval to ensure the position responsibilities are in sync with the student's industry of study. Immediately upon approval, we will post it to Stout Career Link - our 24/7 Job Search Database.
