Board Members of Common Interest Communities (CIC)

The CIC Midwest Advantage

  • Education
Our CIC Midwest Lunch & Learn meetings provide valuable training for you and your board members. You wouldn’t try to fly a multi-million dollar plane without training, so don’t try to manage a multi-million dollar community without training. We also offer professional designations: CCAM (Certified Community Association Manager) and an advanced course, ACCAM. All of your board members receive an electronic 34-page Board Blitz Kit. You can use it at your board meetings, at your convenience. It’s an excellent way to orient your officers and board members about their roles and responsibilities.

  • Resources
All your board members receive their own subscription to CIC Midwest News, the quarterly publication full of essential management, maintenance and legal information. Many of our members keep their issues in a three-ring binder, then print out the archive article list available on our website, www.CICMidwest.com. They place the archive list in the front of the notebook and then they are able to reference any article by topic. You can also have previous archive articles emailed to you, so you can circulate them among your homeowners or reprint them in your community newsletter.

  • Legislative
We keep members informed about issues that affect Common Interest Communities at all levels of government. We have strength in numbers. Our over 2,100 members have accomplished things together that none of us could do individually. We have a large, collective voice in this industry and are able to look out for your community’s interests.

  • Networking
The CIC industry leaders are here. Meet, network with, and take classes from the individuals who set the standard for excellence. Being with the best helps you become your best.

  • Products/Services
Our exciting fall convention and product show has 140 vendor companies and 500 vendor staff members to show you the latest products and services for your community. You can also find vendors at our Product/Service Showcase, at educational and networking meetings, and by using our online Directory.

Mission Statement: It is MHA’s mission to help CIC Members achieve the industry standard of excellence in professional CIC management through education; and to provide the tools needed to succeed in daily CIC management, including information, resources and networking.
