Lunch & Learn: Safety & Security in your Community
February 28, 2019
Presenter: Officer Paul Schley, Anoka Police Department. Crime stories on the local news seem to inch uncomfortably close to your neighborhood. Nextdoor app postings warn of burglaries (and more) just around the corner. As a manager or board member, what can you do to be proactive instead of reactive when crime threatens your residents and their property?

We’ll learn the new (as well as tried and true) ways your community can be infiltrated. Are your homeowners giving building key fobs to their Air BNB guests? Are innocent looking drones scoping out when your homeowners leave in the morning and arrive home at night? We’ll review case studies and discuss what the managers and homeowners did, or could have done, to affect the outcomes of several incidents. Times change and so do the criminals’ methods. This is a must attend session for anyone who lives or works in a common interest community.
