Continuing Education Credit Opportunities

MHA offers a range of continuing education credit options for professionals pursuing industry designations or maintaining external credentials. Here's how you can earn and track credits through MHA:

MHA Designation Credits (CRM, CRMT, COM, & ACRM) Annual Requirement: 5.0 credits are required each year for all MHA designation holders.

  • CRM, CRMT & COM:
    • All MHA education classes qualify. One hour of class time = 1.0 credit
  • ACRM:
    • Credits (5.0) must be earned through service hours.
    • Opportunities to earn service hours include (reach out to maren.willette@mmha.com with questions on service hours):
      • Judging for MADACS (www.mmha.com/Events/MADACS/Call-for-Judges) - can earn up to 5.0 credits with verification by MHA Events Team and Team sign off (one hour of judging = one service hour)
      • Teaching for MHA (one hour of teaching = two service hours)
      • Holding a position of leadership for MHA (Board, Committee Chair, etc.) (one year in position = two service hours)
      • Provide public testimony at a municipal or legislative meeting - contact Marty McDonough (marty.mcdonough@mmha.com) (one testimony = five service hours)
      • Join the CRM Committee and grade CRM Final Projects (one graded project = one service hour)
      • Assist with the CRM Budgeting Office Hours session (one hour = one service hour)
      • Provide a subject property to a CRM or CRMT candidate (if needed) (one candidate = five service hours)

 

  • Tracking & Support:
    • MHA automatically tracks designation education credits

Minnesota Real Estate Continuing Education Units (RE CEUs)

  • MHA is an approved education provider with the Minnesota Department of Commerce
  • Not all MHA courses qualify for RE CEUs. Eligible sessions are clearly marked on the website, registration forms, and promotional materials.
  • If MHA has your license number, completed CEU hours will be submitted to Pulse Portal on your behalf.

Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Professional Development Credits (PDCs)

  • MHA is an approved provider of SHRM PDCs for HR and leadership-related courses.
  • Not all MHA courses qualify for SHRM PDCs. Eligible sessions are clearly marked on the website, registration forms, and promotional materials.
  • Each approved session is assigned a SHRM Activity ID, distributed at the conclusion of the class.
  • Participants are responsible for submitting their PDCs
  • PDCs submitted through the SHRM certification portal
