For more than 50 years, MHA has represented all aspects of Minnesota's multi housing industry. We advocate for the interests of our 2,000 members and 400,000 multi housing units through a full-time presence at the State Capitol, before regulatory agencies, and with local governments throughout Minnesota.
Our government affairs team monitors and analyzes legislative, regulatory, and local policy proposals that may affect the industry. We work directly with elected officials and policymakers to explain how proposed actions could impact housing providers, residents, and Minnesota's broader housing market.
MHA also keeps members informed about legislation, ordinances, and regulatory actions that affect their businesses and communities, while providing the resources and tools needed to respond professionally and effectively.

MHA members play a critical role in the success of our advocacy efforts. Personal outreach from members to legislators, city council members, and other policymakers is one of the most effective tools we have to help shape sound housing policy and bring about positive change for Minnesota's multi housing industry.
