Certified Residential
Manager (CRM)

The CRM program was created and is offered by MHA. The curriculum provides a comprehensive overview of all aspects of property management, including marketing, landlord/tenant law, budgeting, building operations, leadership, preventative maintenance, and more. The CRM program offers complete training in residential property management, tailored for individuals building a career in the industry. Graduates of the program earn the CRM designation, recognized and respected throughout the multi housing industry, both in Minnesota and nationwide.

Certified Residential Maintenance Technician (CRMT)

The Certified Residential Maintenance Technician (CRMT) program was created and is offered by MHA. The curriculum is a comprehensive maintenance and operations program. CRMT provides education and distinction for individuals building a maintenance career in the multi housing industry or for onsite staff seeking to enhance their knowledge in maintenance, vendor relationships, project management, and building operations. Graduates earn a designation recognized and respected in the multi-housing industry, both in Minnesota and nationwide.

CRMT Program Update

MHA is currently reviewing and updating the Certified Residential Maintenance Technician (CRMT) program to ensure the curriculum continues to meet the evolving needs of maintenance professionals and the multi housing industry. 

As part of this process, the CRMT program will not be offered during the 2026-2027 program cycle. Registration will reopen when the updated program is ready to launch. 

We look forward to sharing more information about the refreshed CRMT program in the future.

 

Advanced Certified Residential Manager (ACRM)

The ACRM program was designed to elevate CRM designation holders and experienced industry professionals with five or more years of property management experience. Tailored for leaders seeking to advance their careers, this elite program offers a cohort-model curriculum that fosters innovation and growth. Participants engage in an intensive exploration of crucial industry topics, including advocacy, leadership, staffing strategies, asset protection, financial acumen, and brand stewardship. Graduates earn a respected designation, recognized industry-wide.
