This is a self-study course with an in-person exam.
Improper identification and use of refrigerants can damage or destroy HVAC equipment, lead to personal injury and cause serious environmental damage. The EPA Section 608 Technician Certification is required by law to be able to work on building air conditioning and refrigeration systems or to handle refrigerants.
How does Self-Study work? Once you’ve registered and paid in full, you’ll receive a packet of study materials. You’ll study on your own, at your own pace and then attend a proctored exam*. You’ll receive your results directly from the testing agency in approximately two weeks. Please note there is no classroom instruction associated with this program.
We recommend registering early to ensure plenty of study time. You must register at least two weeks in Advance of your desired exam date to allow for receipt of study materials.

Any and all substitutions must be received before December 23, 2024. After December 23, 2024, no changes to the registration may be made. If you do not attend, and would like to be in another exam offering, you are liable for a new exam registration fee, and will not be entitled to any refund, without exception. Retake exams are available at $60.00 per retake.
