Self-Study EPA Section 608 Technician Exam

Event date: 1/12/2026 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Export event

This is a self-study course with an in-person exam.

Improper identification and use of refrigerants can damage or destroy HVAC equipment, lead to personal injury and cause serious environmental damage. The EPA Section 608 Technician Certification is required by law to be able to work on building air conditioning and refrigeration systems or to handle refrigerants.

How does Self-Study work?  Once you’ve registered and paid in full, you’ll receive a packet of study materials electronically via email. You’ll study on your own, at your own pace and then attend a proctored exam*. You’ll receive your results directly from the testing agency in approximately two weeks. Please note there is no classroom instruction associated with this program.

Study materials include:

•  Pressure & Temperature Charts (may be used during the exam)
•  EPA Study Manual
•  EPA Section 608 Practice Exam
